Illusions

This following poem is a poem written as part of a poetry project called Poem press. Poem press is a project focused on presenting short but meaningful poems in a visual, literary and musical format. All of the backing tracks are provided by a fellow creative commons contributor called Kevin Macleod of incompetech.com. This particular poem is poem about illusions. The poem is presented below in both written and video format for you to enjoy in your own preferred way.

Poem about illusions.

An illusion.
A trick of the mind.
A test of your conviction.
Shame we’re so easily fooled.
How did he do it?
I didn’t see a thing.
How is that possible?
I’d love to know.
Illusions are powerful.
They have literally.
Won key historical battles.
When a mind so fallible.
Can’t perceive the trick
The illusionist wins.
