Lifetimes

This following poem is a poem written as part of a poetry project called Poem press. Poem press is a project focused on presenting short but meaningful poems in a visual, literary and musical format. Poem about lifetimes.

Our lifetimes are very short.
Almost depressingly short.
So short.
That we rarely ever see.
Anything of worth.
Compared to the earth.
We live for a heartbeat.
I can see.
How this can lead.
To an existential crisis.
That simple realisation.
That we barely exist.
At all.
