Rock n roll poem (poem press)

Rock n roll poem (poem press)

rock n roll

Rock n roll

This following poem is a poem written as part of a poetry project called Poem press. Poem press is a project focused on presenting short but meaningful poems in a visual, literary and musical format. All of the backing tracks are provided by a fellow creative commons contributor called Kevin Macleod of incompetech.com. All poems from this project are available for use in my creative commons poetry project. You can view many more on my Youtube channel.

This particular poem is poem about rock n roll. The poem is presented below in both written and video format for you to enjoy in your own preferred way.

Poem about rock n roll.

He who wields the power.
Of the rock n roller.
Has the luxury.
Of anything he wants.
He announces himself.
Before he arrives.
He, though announced.
Turns up to suprise.
Feasting your ears.
With loud, sonic booming.
Vibrating the ceiling.
Pumping the world up.
So come on rock n roller.
Dazzle us all.

Motivational slide show

This is a relatively short update which focuses on what I believe is one of my best achievements to date. It is a motivational video that uses photography to create a kind of visual poem with a few motivational statements to compliment. People seem to enjoy it so I have decided to just throw it out there. Here it is.

For me this is a very relevant statement. When life seems at it darkest, it probably is and at times like that it is more important than ever to look to the future with positivity. Without first experiencing darkness you will never truly understand the value of the light.

Pictures of guitars

One of the mediums I enjoy working in is photography and nothing is more interesting than to take pictures of a guitar. Guitars are not the easiest things to photograph because of their shape but the results can be very pleasing. Here is one of the several shots I have taken.

This was a very tricky shot to capture the way I wanted it. I used a few well advised tips like putting a white blanket on the floor so as to give the shot it’s reflective quality and I couldn’t use a tripod because of it’s position but I believe the end result was worth the effort. I have taken many more shots which I will show you some of now.

York minster images

York minster is a stunning Gothic cathedral/church. It is called Minster due to the fact that York Minster is a protestant church. Cathedral is reserved for catholic churches. York in itself is a beautiful city and I have had the pleasure of living there for a while. So much to see and explore. I never got bored. I have produced many drawings of York’s many architectural masterpieces but in this post i would like to concentrate on York Minster.

This is a painting in acrylic that I produced over five years ago. It is a painting of just one of The churches entrances which should give you an idea of the sheer scale of this building. This painting is not technically perfect but i do rather like it. I also produced a drawing of the same view which is acurate on a technical level.

If I was to say there was an area of visual art where I do specialise. Architectural drawings would probably be it. I have produced many other drawing of views in York, some of which you can see in  my fine art portfolio. Here is a close to accurate photo that I have taken since to show you the view I drew from. It is a bit more close up, so all of the detail in the artwork is not fully shown.
