Poem about death (poem press)

Death

Death

This following poem is a poem written as part of a poetry project called Poem press. Poem press is a project focused on presenting short but meaningful poems in a visual, literary and musical format. All of the backing tracks are provided by a fellow creative commons contributor called Kevin Macleod of incompetech.com. All poems from this project are available for use in my creative commons poetry project. You can view many more on my Youtube channel.

This particular poem is poem about death. The poem is presented below in both written and video format for you to enjoy in your own preferred way.

Poem about death.

In nature all things die.
Yet live forever.
Not in some magical.
Heaven or hell.
But right here.
Like the tree.
That becomes firewood.
That burns into heat.
That cooks dinner.
That provides nutrients.
That maintains our life.
And when we die.
We break down elements.
Enrich the soil.
That houses a plant.
The killer that becomes a rose.
As for the soul.
Death has no place.
