Social sickness

Oh yes, it’s true.
Society is sick.
Violently ill.
All of this blood sacrifice.
Disguised as war.
All for our entertainment.
See, in reality.
Yes, that’s right.
I said reality.
The news and politics.
Is a bit like a sitcom.
We laugh nervously.
As they push our buttons.
And keep injecting sickness.
Into enlightened society.
